I am looking to buy some more storage for my Xbox One and I am stuck in between getting a My Passport X or a My Passport Ultra, both 2TB. The Passport X just came out and it says its made for games and blazing fast which sounds promising, but the Ultra is a little less and seems to be the exact same external hard drive. Can someone help me out on whether the X is really worth getting? Is it just the same hard drive with a different name? I can't find the internal specs of the X anywhere so I don't know if its really faster or worth the extra cash.

Hey there djperrotti. Well they're both USB 3.0 drives, which means you'll definitely get the most out of the speed they offer. My Passport X comes pre-formatted for Xbox One and you can start playing as soon as you get it without having to do anything else, My Passport Ultra comes pre-formatted for Windows with the NTFS file system. They have different design as well. For now, My Passport X is available only in the US.
Basically you can use both drives with your Xbox One, but if reformatting is too much of a hassle, then you have the easier option with My Passport X.
